I've had 3 meniscus tears over the years... They generally don't take a long time to recover from. My last one, I was playing volleyball like 3 weeks later.

I watched Skenes pitch a few innings last night. He is a monster; I hope they call him up soon.

Going to be the best baseball player (at least that’s what I hear 😂) that I will end up realizing I’ve watched play like 4 times. Between the West Coast start times, injury, and lack of playoff appearances, his career has just blown by me. This is well stated and true for me as well. This guy was every bit of Albert Pujols plus steals the first 8 years of his career and now I barely even hear his name and I watch baseball 7 days a week. Kind of a bummer.

I dunno... There's a lot of meniscus in your knees...
Usually when you have a tear they just cut out the torn piece...2 of my 3 tears were handled that way.
The third tear was a hole and it was repaired.
I know that I'm likely going to get arthritis at some point because there's less cartilage in my knee now than there should be

Dodgers have some serious offense they spent a billion dollars this offseason... They signed guys to contracts worth that much over the lifetime of the contract. They have a smaller payroll this year than the Mets, Yankees, Astros, Phillies, Rangers and Braves. They spend a lot of money on good players, just like a bunch of other good teams.

Both things that we typed are true. The Dodgers didn't spend on free agents previously to load up for this past off-season. They spent a lot and are still the 7th highest payroll this year. The sport needs a salary floor as much if not more than it needs a salary ceiling, but as long as teams like Baltimore, Cleveland and TB keep making the playoffs with poverty level rosters, that won't change.

ferd Skenes has struck out 9 of the first 11 batters today. It reminds me of the Kerry Wood 20 strikeout game, also on a Friday afternoon.

Seems they're keeping him on a pitch count but yeah, he's a horse.
