Veedub CEO resigned but says he knew nothing. Not a very good CEO. "Volkswagen needs a fresh start — also in terms of personnel. I am clearing the way for this fresh start with my resignation," Winterkorn said in a statement. Yeah, like Im fu*ked and getting the hell out of here before I head to prison.

The united states shoudl be ashamed of themselved diesel is more efficient fuel by far, but insted they have came up with more scams like using food (ethanol) in fuel which oh surprise decreases mpg and fucks shit up.
for these reasons companies can't make diesl cars for the US, the rest of the fuckign wworld ha diesel cars.
Whats wrong with us.

Dude made 18 million last year. He has a pension of 22 or 32 million dollars, cant remember which and possibly a 2 year severance package. It could get taken away if proven fault on his part.

doesent matter either way.
Cars are on of the biggest scams running, people make billions off it. Whateer happens to this guy, it happens to him as a millionaire.
I'd like to see multinational Corporations not being the only people who make cars, but theyre the only people that can afford all the regulation and politics.
Like serieously did VW have a problem with emissions in any place outside of the US? These BS Diesel Regulations is what prompted VW to put somehting in their computer to recognize a test.
From what I understand VW is one of the only Unionized Car Companies (not in the US of course $$$), but it does sound like the guy was making way above an acceptable ratio based on his work put into VW when compared tothe gu on the assembly line.
We need more diesel cars, Trucks, etc. America like always is Special.

For once I agree with lolvolcano. US puts stupid restrictions on diesels to hinder them growing their market share. Thus the reason you see so few models offered. It's all hooey anyway considering all diesel pickup trucks are way worse than a tdi rabbit.

Instead America becomes the worlds largest innovator in Subsidizing farmers to grow corn so they can create a whole nother Ethanol Industry as an additive to gasoline that decreases fuel efficency in our cars and causes issues with parts that corrode with water condensation, espeically marine fuel systems an carborators.
America making strides worldwide.
