I genuinely just enjoy bloody Mary’s. We used to go to this bar every Sunday to watch the bears and get bloodies and beers. When I was pregnant I was still able to go hang out and have one because the vodka does nothing for the flavor. I read this and because Bears wasn't capitalized, I spent a few seconds pondering whether you were watching big burly gay men or actual bears and where you could do that while drinking beers. Then I realized I am an idiot. bong dude bruh 😄

I got me a sixer of Budvar Budweiser Budvar Brewery and the American brewery Anheuser-Busch have been engaged in an ongoing trademark dispute over the name Budweiser since the start of the 20th century. In 1939, only one week before the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, Budweiser Budvar agreed to concede exclusive rights to the American brewery in the United States area.[16] During World War II and the Cold War, Budweiser Budvar was unable to compete with then independent Anheuser-Busch. In 1994, then CEO of Budweiser Budvar Jiří Boček decided not to sign a trademark agreement with the American brewery to divide their territory across the world.[6] On 29 July 2010, Anheuser-Busch lost its last-instance appeal in the European Court of Justice, meaning it may not register the name Budweiser as a European Union trademark for beer.[17] Consequently Budweiser Budvar beer is imported as "Czechvar" in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Philippines and the United States[18][19] and Anheuser-Busch sells its beer as "Bud" in most of the European Union.

The city Budweis has been brewing since like 1250. Adolphus Busch started brewing Budweiser in 1876 and copied the name because he wanted something of similar quality color and taste. How is this even a dispute? It seems clear to me

I have an old budvar tulip glass somewhere in my collection. It's really nice but thin glass that I'm afraid to break so I don't use it

This Beer is a million times more flavorful than any bud products. Had it when I was in Russia and Ukraine years ago and it was delicious. Czech beer in both countries was sold in liter bottles with twist off caps and they were equivalent of $1 american. So funking good

That's a bummer. I haven't seen it in stores around here for quite some time. Anchor Steam was a staple for me in the late 90s.
