I feel like I would enjoy that a lot more in full rage mode live. Watching on my tv was just ok

They're bumped up to 'go to Chicago to see' status.
And, I shall...

I don't really have much interest in listening to the at my leisure, but they get me moving the whole show.
Gimme a good drummer and I am usually pretty happy.

Senator your listening t the wrong tribe, they have some of the best space easy listening music there is. Basically it's meditation music.
I would seriosuly recomend when you want to get deep, listen to something like STS9's artifact alblum if you don't have theyre better live shows downloaded.

Their live experience however is unparalleled, and for me it's unparalleled to any other band. Jam bands make me fall asleep for portions of the time, it's just not instrumental music like Tribe where it's 100% about the sound and where it takes you, and what it means to that individual person. Very Universal, for example someone in JApan could listen to a Tribe album with no prob, I find many words distracting however they can be meaningful.
For that reason I love Rap, I do really like Jambands, but yea.. I dunno Tribe just goes reaaaaal deep if you gnomesayn.
Alright, i'll fuck off now.

While most of what you said makes me lol and there are more spelling errors in there then when I even type I will say that artifact is a pretty nice album

I guy at the sts9 show I was at last weekend told me that their set was engineered to align everyone's chakras. Wtf. Was he serious?

After seeing them a few weeks ago... this band is on fire right now. I want to see them again in the near future.
I don't however think they are constructing setlists to align people's chakras. ha

lol, so does every setlist with cmpletely diff songs align chakras or whatever the fuck?
Kitch, the only thing that somewhat compares to Tribe is lotus to me, and as i'e kindof hinted I think they have a much less full and powerful sound in comparison.
Jamtronica is a tough thing to pull off, and Tribe does it right I think. I love downtempo type stuff like Emancipator or Blackmill and such... Yo share your secrets.

I love lotus too..I think I like lotus and tribe equally. They are both gold in their own ways.
I've always viewed tribe as a spacier/more psychedelic version of lotus...cheers to quality jamtronica.
Edit: Blackmill is good. I also think you've noticed I love psybient/psychill....That genre of music kicks so much ass imo.

Lotus to me is "softer" in many ways, kindof floaty or something lol like you can fly. Tribe gives me the feeling i'm going through different levels of the Universe, as I said I think they have a lot of "Power" behind some of their stuff, and not on a bassnectar "power" type level but you know.... Powerful hair standing up on your arm in a 90 degree room type shit.

I personally think I can do Jamtronica myself better than most artists, just need the money and time for all the insruments and stuff, bur dank shit runs thru my head all day. Obsessively.

Do you play instruments? Maybe I'll make a thread about this and will not derail your STS9 thread..TRRRIIIIBBBBBEEEEEEEE. That ballroom show left me yearning for more.
And I feel you on the "softer" thing with Lotus. But they have power too: it's more of a funky sorta power. Lotus has some of the best peaks out there imo. Lotus peaks are nothing to mess with.

My buddy was playing an older Tribe show out of a little speaker from his backpack the last time we were disc golfing together. He said the show was from 2004 or something, and I was like, kewl.
He mentioned he wanted to get a Facebook group going to start a petition to ditch the strobe lights and "bring back the crystals and flowers". He said that back then at STS9 shows the stage set up was a bunch of flowers and big crystals and he wanted them to bring em' back.
He said he thought there should be a strong enough desire in their fanbase to bring it back, but then I pointed out him that at least half the crowd at their shows nowadays was in middle/elementary school in 2004, so they're about as familiar with the crystal/flower STS9 era as I am. I am down though.
