I watched The French Dispatch last night and enjoyed it. It's not top tier Wes Anderson but it's very funny and moves quickly. The storytelling device is pretty interesting.

I watched A Face In The Crowd this morning, it's very good and features an outstanding performance from Andy Griffith. It has aged fantastically.

Finished The Fugitive today. So solid. The pacing is great, good performances, good supporting actors, A+ 90s flick. It really does hold up.

Just finished You Hurt My Feelings. Julia Louis Dreyfuss rules, another solid performance from her and another solid movie from Nicole Holofcenter. I can't wait to see what she does next.

I liked Tenet. I will definitely watch it again to take what I know now back into it because of the way it progresses in reverse. It really picks up in the middle when the different directions of the story start to make a little more sense and it alters the way you think about the movie in a way that is counter to the normal perspective of linear time.

I'm happy you gave it another chance! It definitely does take some time getting to story beats and it's a very knotty movie.
I'm watching Dances With Wolves now. I can understand how this beat Goodfellas a little bit more now (it's still pretty bad in retrospect though). It's a very pretty movie and the kind of shit the academy ate up until more recent years.

This is getting better! Man, Costner is a charming when he let's himself look dumb.

The Last of the Mohicans also has a straw man getting thrown off of a cliff and was released 9 months before The Fugitive. A vanilla movie overall. The Crucible is peak Daniel Day-Lewis.

Fucking love LotM. I've watched it so many times.
Despicable Me 4 was fun. Better than DM3 imo

He's so good in There Will Be Blood. I watched Jurassic Park: The Lost World at work, it's not a bad movie but it's a disappointing follow-up. Julianne Moore is not good at all, a rare bad performance. Spielberg is on record as losing interest in the movie during production and it shows.

I put mission impossible dead reckoning on last night and couldn't decide if it was supposed to be an action movie or a parody of action movies but either way it was garbage. Tom Cruise might be the most overrated movie star of all time.
