Love 'The Third Man.' I used to use Harry Lime whenever I didn't feel like giving out my real name.

I took a film course in undergrad to satisfy an elective. My professor was in his 60s and was a self-professed vampire. He wore a black leather vest and a tie made of chainmail and a belt with embossed flames on it.
He was a total douchebag and the only class I got a C in.

We watched The Third Man in my film noir class last night. That movie is so damn good. you didn't ask for it, but you get it cuz I can--my review of the The Third Man: My wife's favorite movie, I like the way that our pulp writer struggles with his romantic notions of heroism as weighed against his deep seeded instincts toward loyalty. It does not turn out the way he would have written it, but it never really does. Also, Orson Welles is brilliant as the villain, and the cinematography, utilizing shadows and light against tall-walled corridors, is downright striking and beautiful. Plus, the score is the perfect compliment.

They're remaking the Magnificent Seven sometime soon with Denzel and Chris Pratt attached as leads.
I'm not very excited.
See, I CAN not like an idea that major studios have.

I read about half of the screenplay for The Hateful Eight when it was leaked online a couple of years ago and Quintin threatened not to make it. It was such a great read, I wished he had just released it as a book.
Bussit, even though it was a "mini series", I always include Lonesome Dove in my list of favorite westerns. And The Searchers.

I've never seen Lonesome Dove, I guess I should. The Searchers is very good too, and even though there are some parts I don't care for, I even like the remake called The Missing

The Tommy Lee Jones/Ron Howard movie? I didn't think that was a remake of The Searchers. I'll have to look at it again.

I thought The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford was pretty good.. Who Shot Liberty Valence, The Man w/No Name Trilogy. Always liked High Plains Drifter.. Blazing Saddles? Treasure of the Sierra Madre? High Noon? Love Magnificent Seven
Would like to see the directors cut Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.
so many good westerns to go w ones mentioned. Havent seen Lonesome Dove either
