Charleston is such a nice city. My sister got married on Folly Beach this past Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time when we went into Charleston one night.

It's gorgeous, Ferd. I miss it a lot. Where did you go while you were downtown?
Downtown Folly Beach is a lot of fun too. They do a ton of random festivals. The beaches here are prettier though.

Ummm...we had drinks and apps at Hyman Seafood and ate dinner at Sticky Fingers BBQ...spent a little time at their open air market before it closed...We only were there for a couple hours.

Folly was great. Legs' aunt and uncle own a beach house really close to the water...We didn't spend a whole lot of time downtown because we don't eat out much on vacations and the stores were mostly the same old beach crap...but we did go to one bar after my sister's wedding that was cool.

Yeah the stores are crappy but the bars are fun! That's awesome they have a house on Folly! You can go back again.

I am just hoping it heads father north, we have had enough hurricane weather in my lifetime in South Carolina. Really do not want a rainy Clemson/Notre Dame game. Dude, you better go to that game!! I have some family friends who are thinking about skipping it and I might end up with their tickets!! Also, Charleston is a great place. Check out the Angel Oak Tree next time you are down there. Very cool.

As for the hurricane... I saw a map on weather.com that showed the entire state of SC getting between 8-12" of rain. That is bad news. Charleston floods downtown in a 1/2" of rain. My car got stuck 2 feet of water once about 10 years ago. I just had to leave it for like three days before it dried out and started working again.

It rains so hard and so fast that there is nowhere for the water to go and it floods with very little rain. They've "tried" to fix it many times but have been very unsuccessful.

That's the thing about hurricanes. You have DAYS of notice. I'm not saying they're not scary or dangerous but it's not like a tornado or an earthquake where BAM! You're fucked! On that note, stay safe everyone! Throw a good hurricane party! Hurricanes excite me. I am scared to death of a tornado. I had several nightmares when I lived in IL.

Just cross the street and you're on the beach. It's very expensive to rent though...so we'll probably only go when we're invited down.

I really should have fixed my jacked up gutters when the weather was nice,...three years ago.

I have the plastic ones but some of them have fallen off or were taken off and didn't get replaced. I think I'm gonna try the foam things.
