I've got Wilco and Orchestra Trey in June at Wolf Trap.
And possibly Gary Jr and good ol' Roger Daltrey too.

a week from tomorrow we are going to Modest Mouse and The Pixies. I like, not love, both bands and am excited to see them live for the first time! June 29th we are seeing the LEGENDARY Roger Daltery. Really excited to see one of the most iconic rock voices of all time.

Dinosaur Jr. is coming up north with Jane's Addiction. I just need to find dogsitters... Dogsitter found but now I can't go because I don't have a worksitter. Super disappointed. Welcome to management.

First day of new job in 7:30am on Thursday. Daltrey is Wednesday evening. I'm skipping it. Have you seen him live? I feel like if you've seen the Who or seen him before then you probably don't need to see him again. But I never saw the Who when they were still touring like 15 years ago so this is one of the bucketlist artists I need to see before it's absolutely too late.

The Who was my "first band." I've seen them many, many times.
The first of which was in 1982 when The fucking Clash opened. Did my first hit of Purple Micro-dot that day too.
Changed everything.
But Roger is 80. Might not get another chance but that's OK.
Saw "The Who" with Pete here in DC in 2022 and they were absolutely fantastic. If that was The Last Time I'd be OK with it.

Right my expectations to see Roger belt out of one of his famous numbers at the level he has in the past is low. My expectations that he's going to surround himself around some of the best rock players and my mind is going to be blown musically, are very high.

I guess his backing band is some Irish rock band called Inhaler. They sound familiar. Also KT Tunstull

Basically it's everyone from the touring "The Who" minus Pete. Pete's younger brother Simon is in the band and he's actually been doing a lot of the heavy lifting for years. Zach Starkey on drums.
And Daltrey had some kind of vocal treatment a few years back and really sounds great.
You're gonna love it.

I've seen the who with Pete twice in the past 10 years and they both were phenomenal shows. I wouldn't hesitate to see the touring who with or without Pete and have high expectations going in. The fist time doing quadrophenia was really good but the second time accompanied by a symphony was badass! Both time exceeded expectations.

I was wrong about Starkey. But I'm sure the band is phenomenal.
This is from last night. He sounds fantastic.
