no....you're butthurt. and it's okay. i've gotten plenty used to talking with socialists and seeing how they get when discussing this stuff. and i have an idea of what the deeper root is with you as well. i'm not going to go there though because i think it would be rude to make it personal like that. none the less, apology accepted.

Living thousands of miles away from the US I really don't care who won the election and am looking at this as an opportunity for a real progressive to run in 2020 instead of Hilary running for reelection. I wish Trump and the country well. I'd be happy if he can replace Obamacare with something better, improve the economy for everyone and not just the wealthy, etc.. As long as he doesn't go crazy on social issues or all fascist I wish him nothing but the best with great successes for the country. I'm not holding my breath that he can deliver on any or all of those things (hence my excitement at the now more probable chance than there was a few days ago of a true progressive running in 2020) but I think you're making a mistake thinking that everyone here who is disappointed is gravely disappointed and are straight up down partisans who are butthurt. That's one of the cool things about this forum. I don't think anyone here is a party loyalist, no matter the party. Saying everyone is butthurt is an obvious troll. I'd like to think you're capable of better, like adding something more meaningful to a lot of these conversations. Sounds like you're a little butthurt that people bring up the fact that you're all about the handouts yourself. If you live by criticizing those who might look to others for opportunities, you die by the criticism of those who point out that you yourself are living off the opportunities provided to you by others. If it's okay for you to criticize others for that behavior, you shouldn't be all that surprised when your disdain for those looking for handouts is reflected back on you. Saying people are making it personal is just you not acknowledging that simple observational fact and trying to deflect. I still love ya, buddy, even if I think it's okay to criticize you for your 'depends on who's getting the handout' positions (and hipocrisy as DPB called it) on those who benefit from the handouts of others. |

Not only are you not disagreeing with the criticism against you based on your words and contradictory actions, you're not even addressing those criticisms, instead trying to divert by saying we're all butthurt. You act as if you've never read all the criticism from the large anti-Hilary crowd here. You do the same thing with Bernie. No one mentions him and you troll, trying to paint anyone who was a Bernie supporter of being butt hurt and dwelling and not accepting the fact that he lost because that way you don't have to discuss what's currently being discussed using facts, reason, or logic. Senator, Kitch, me, and all the other Bernie supporters aren't butt hurt and it's not this manufactured by you butt hurt that has several people pointing out when you're working a hypocritical double standard, no matter how much you insist we are. It comes across sounding like a little kid's argument who can only say - "Are too butthurt! Are too" Lol. Seriously dude, love ya. But that doesn't mean I won't hold your feet to the fire when it's deserved, and based on what others are saying as well (DPB, saulgoodman, better weather, etc.), you're deserving of having your criticism of others relying on handouts reflected back on you and your Stephen Colbert Show like comedy character habit of using yuks and jokes as a way to not engage in a conversation and just drop trolling statements and retreating. Obviously several people are all noticing the same thing so you can either reflect and consider if we're all on to something, or just falsely keep claiming we're all butthurt when you're contradictions are pointed out. I'm pretty much expecting a reply along the lines of "Are too butthurt!" but since it's expected and since you know no one really takes your cries seriously, I'd be cool with that. |

There's protests in Philly. Since PA went Trump, does that qualify as protesters protesting where Trump won?
I really don't care if or where people protest. I don't expect someone to travel to the deep south and protest in front of bunch of rednecks when they can do so in their own locale and still go to work tomorrow, take care of their kids, etc.. Are there any planned trips being organized now to get people to from the coasts to the heartland so they can protest in deep Trump country? I see nothing wrong with local, more spontaneous protests if people want to exercise their rights to free speech.
I haven't followed at all really, so I don't know what any protesters expect to accomplish, if anything at all. Maybe they're just pissed and are letting off steam. I don't care if people want to protest though I don't believe their protests should lead to any kind of accomplishments other than personal, whatever they may be. I'm not aware if people have larger goals in mind or not, but how are you sure you're living in a free country if people don't say or do things that occasionally piss you off?
And we all know if Hillary won there'd be a bunch of rural rednecks doing the same thing. In that scenario, should they be expected to drop everything in their lives and go to Los Angeles or NYC to protest?

this is the way you guys really think? no wonder things are the way they are. there is a serious lack of understanding that exists. i don't know if it is genuine misunderstanding or intentional mischaracterizations for political gain. honestly, of the two, i'm not sure which is worse.
