All this talk about Civil war is uh, telling, but I wanna know who these morons think they're gonna fight? Do they think antifa & BLM are gonna grab their AR-15's and take to the streets if Trump gets prosecuted? They gonna search out the home of the secretary for the assistant manager at work because she said she voted for Biden? Just the cops and military?

I wouldn't put it so much on the gubment trying to prevent Trump from running again as I would Trump's illegal actions disqualifying him. Nobody forced him to illegally remove boxes of classified documents that are the property of the gubment/people and take them to his home. Nobody forced Trump to completely ignore the long-standing tradition of a peaceful transfer of power and plan/stage an attempted coup.
Actions have consequences. You can blame the police for a lot of shit, but you can't blame them for making someone rob a bank.

Wonder if we'll ever hear what specific documents he stole. Heard someone mention something about his correspondence with the leader of N. Korea. Wonder if he committed the felony of stealing classified documents so no one would ever discover another felony he committed, or if he figures the stolen classified documents have a monetary value to a foreign intelligence service. Maybe both?
