Those donuts look great but they need to chill the fuck out with those prices. A dozen is like 30 bucks.
Same with this mexican place I ate today. TacoSorry or enchiladas or anything waso 14.
I just think of donuts and Mexican less expensive

Yeah, the punk rock, anarchist dude who owned the place and the pizza place next door apparently got fed up with running them and sold em. The pizza place next door is essentially being run the same with a new name, but the diner's new owners have changed a lot of things up. Still am super grateful to have it down the street, but the new menu items are not nearly as FKT and they're pushing for a much more bland appeal. Old way had too much attitude, I guess. The prices have been bumped up, and most of the creative breakfast entrees have been wiped out, which is what I went there for most of the time. Gone are the days of me being able to post pictures of their daily specials being like this... I am not even sure if they are doing daily specials any more...*sigh*...  |

But with the new arrangement, they have brought in this display case with all that sweet stuff. And, along with the price increase, they have chosen to wipe out the notion of tipping, which I think is pretty neat. They pay their staff living wages, and now instead of doing a tip, a person is encouraged to purchase a two dollar taco, or a 5 dollar 'bowl of food' redemption coupon that they can give to one of the many homeless people who a perpetually stuck in the heartside area of downtown. They've got all the redeemed ones up on the wall. This I am down with, and actually probably saves me money cause I always hit the 30% gratuity button on the iPad when checking out due to my wanting to support the place.  |
