It’s my sister’s birthday and I just shucked 5 dozen oysters. I would have loved to have taken a picture, but they are GONE. Raw or cooked? I miss Charleston oyster roasts.

Over a grill with a wet burlap sack covering them is the sc way.
We usually shuck, add flavored butter and grill on a Weber just for like a minute.

never had a cooked oyster. good? build a smoky fire that's not too hot. any oysters that you don't get open easily toss on the smoker just till they warm enough to slightly open. top with warm Sriracha butter. but yeah raw is the way to go.

Or a nice mignonette sauce we've been making a mignonette with a little bit of finely chopped habanero in it. Probably against some rules, but tastes great on an oyster.

Lays made kettle chips with the chili cheese fritos seasoning. I highly recommend dipping them in french onion sour cream dip. I had em. Very good

I made smoked chicken wings on Saturday on my new smoker. They turned out awesome. Half garlic and herb dry rub and the other half brown sugar bourbon dry rub.
I bought a pork butt to smoke sometime soon... Looking forward to that as well.
