Seven Samurai is one of my favorite movies. I really like Kurosawa. I have about 15 Kurosawa films in my classic Japanese/Samurai movie collection. He was great. |

Gotham is really up and down...a lot of downs. I can't stop watching though, because I just love the Batman too much...
The Flash picked up towards the end of the season and the first episode last week was good. They go a little too whiny/sappy with Barry Allen...my kids really love it though.

Ferd, I equated it with a low budget Nickelodeon show from the 90s. The sets are cardboard cutout and the writing is as bottom of the barrel as Ive seen. I got 3 episodes in, I understand kids liking it, it definitely seems like superhero light. It had a cameo from the Arrow of which I tried for a sec after watching whatever that show with the blind superhero. I felt the exact same way about arrow as I do about Flash so no surprise.
I did enjoy the bling superhero guy show.

Right on. The end of last season and the first episode of this season are solid enough that I'll keep watching. I haven't seen an episode of Arrow yet...doesn't really appeal much to me.
As far as the superhero shows that I'm watching are concerned:
1. Daredevil
2. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
3. The Flash
4. Gotham

superheros are so fuckin lame now
they need a bad superhero. like a really dark character who fucks shit up. im sick of these pussy superhero movies/shows that really follow the same recycled formula over and over

ill look into agents of shield.
Kind of how i did zombie related stuff, i held off on superhero shows thinking it was just not my thing, but after watching a few i get into it. I really liked gotham, a lot more depth to that story than most superhero stuff.
I do feel like gotham covers the dark side of super heros
its like the community structure in that city is so broken down that criminals and superheros are hard to tell apart, people are so at the end of thier rope they assume new identities just to get by, they dont even identify as the person they were born as.
the red hood episode sort of featured that but it seems to be an underlying theme.
