I dunno for the most part Kiwi will not grow in my zone all that well. but this strain : It has a tremendous cold hardiness and is easy to grow. Besides its rock-solid hardiness, one key element that makes this kiwi so special is its pineapple-like flavor! Use (Actinidia agruta) 'Hardy Male' as a pollinator. For zones 5-9. im zone 5a so according to that i have a shot.. i wanted these banana plants but id have to use a greenhouse, still may grow a plant in my house just to do. zone 8

I always assumed Kiwi's were tropical until I worked at the nursery and we sold them.
lord, what zone are you in?
I think this year I'll be able to at least grow some stuff in pots on the balcony. The only place that gets enough light where I am now is the parking lot.

we were just talking about coca plants last night while watching our brand is crisis in which they were chewing coca leaves.
my wife rarely makes it thru a movie without falling a sleep so i suggested she start chewing on coco leaves to stay away.

I would never snort coke, bout I would chew me leaves. Just cleared tons of leaves away from things, adding stuff to the compost pile, and cleard out strawberry patch as best as possible. Rage

bolivia.for91days.com/2011/08/16/how-to-chew-coca-leaves/Chewing coca leaves acts as an appetite suppressant, helps with altitude sickness, provides energy and improves digestion. It also mildly numbs your cheek. It’s impossible to get “addicted” to chewing the leaves, and they don’t provide any sort of high. Making cocaine out of coca leaves is a complicated, chemical process, and chewing the leaves is no more an act of “drug consumption” than eating a poppy-seed bagel.

its a grey area. some vitamins such as C are more sensitive to heat and some phytonutrients become more bioavaiable and some are lost to heat. depends what you really want from them. some veggies def should be cooked to maximize nutrient uptake and some not like beets. www.precisionnutrition.com/10-ways-to-get-the-most-nutrientsi dont like cooked veggies at all so my solution is to juice 5 servings of various veggies and eat 5 servings of veggies during the day. im confident im getting the nutrition i seek.

I should probably do that, except the thought of doing what you are doing makes me as sick as if I didn't.

I should probably do that, except the thought of doing what you are doing makes me as sick as if I didn't. its not bad once you get used to it.. ginger helps or if you dont mind the sugar, lots of carrots. cabbage sweetens it up as well.. some of the juice i drink i actually enjoy, some not so much.. it varies every day.
