Who makes money or gains power by convincing people the earth is flat, not round? Indeed, this has been a central question asked of them....It has not been answered in any satisfactory way. |

 I'm not all surprised Christian's (like Kitch's FB friend) go for this flat Earth idea. If you're willing to overlook science to believe in virgin birth, walking on water, zombie Jesus, and all the other supernatural events in the Bible, it's not really that big of a step to believe the Earth is flat. This is interesting...My parents are of the Christian...uh...persuasion. Will have to remember to ask them what they think of Flat Earth Theory ...I don't think they would have been exposed though. This is a strange conglomeration of people...Christian and young SJW That reminds me...many flatties believe tress are fake...made of silicon...heh. |

Wonder on this flat earth thing what's to be gained either way by lying to the population that the world is round when it's flat, or flat when it's round. Shows just how much people distrust and are willing to swallow any conspiracy theory no matter if there doesn't seem to be any obvious benefit to be gained by the man and even when it defies what most would consider non-partisan science that's pretty damn conclusive. Why would NASA lie? What do they gain? Who makes money or gains power by convincing people the earth is flat, not round? Why would government funded operatiins lie or lie about true intentions? Ur asking the wrong questions those only perpetuate debate. |

If the Earth is flat, then why are the moon and planets round, or at least tilted to 90 degrees so that they appear round? You don't need the capability of space flight or putting a satellite into space that is only (used to be) possible with govt. funding. To see that with your own eyes. Are those with the potential to launch commercial satellites lying along with all the govts.? and what's the motivation for doing so? |

I haven't bothered to research why flat Earthers say "they" (Who? Everyone throughout history who's said 'round, not flat?') are lying.
If you know why then please save us the time and trouble and just give us a basic rundown of why they say EVERYONE is lying?

Motivation to say the Earth is flat and explain why we're being lied to when told the Earth is a sphere?   Not sure why the Big Bang couldn't be considered without the Globe Model, but I'm sure they've convinced themselves there's a perfectly good reason. |

Is the govt. that's lying to us about the world being flat in order to hide god from us the same govt. that went to the trouble of adding 'In God We Trust' to the currency, "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance, and numerous other mentions of God in govt. institutions?

I use to actually like this guys website and opinions on some basic nwo conspiracy theories.
