Honestly...I think there's an inherent conformation bias on the topic.
But, I am all for moving forward with our government creating incentives for companies to pursue newer green technology, regardless.

In the 70's we were scared of creating a new ice age for the exact same reason.
In the 90's it was global warming.
Now it's just climate change.

What do u mean by confirmation bias?

To clarify I am not arguing weather or not the earth has been getting warmer progressively.
I am arguing for people to be more skeptical about weather this is something that humans, and more specifically, Co2 are responsible for.
The reasoning behind the phenomena may be more cosmic in nature.

I mean if 97% of the credited scientific community says climate change is a phenomena of human creation, then who are the other 3%, and what do they have to say?
We don't hear much from them, and I'd wager if I was a scientist in the field and my own research did not conform to what is common place, I would be afraid to publish it.

I've looked at dissenting stuff.. and at times have leaned towards a denialist opinion as relates to policy so on and so forth, but I think you're getting bogged down in generalities

I am just encouraging skepticism and a willingness to question media spin in particular.

To keep it hippy dippy..
No roads, no internal combustion engine, industry, pollution, misuse of resources
The world doesn't look like a better place?
In my view all that falls under the umbrella Climate Change and is why I would support the March. Environmentalism in general.
Are we getting bogged down in C02 level talks and co-opted by Corps on things like REDD etc. Yea. We should be spending more time cleaning rivers and consuming less is where I'm coming from on a COSMIC level

From a cosmic perspective, each planet in our solar system has also been...warming up.
Is this phenomena also caused by humans?

The photon belt is a thing, and we are passing through it collectively as a solar system.

Free thinking has lead me to those views on environmentalism, and but it has led me to question the potential motives behind wanting to create a public outcry for a carbon tax, which is a tax for a bi-product of life.
Sounds fishy to me.

Sounds fishy to me. Totally agree. And ngo's like the Sierra club etc behind these marches u can't trust it to make any demands worth a damn

Anyways I had a spot on the bus to go to DC today, but gave it away. Too much work and travel lately. Hung out at Science March last week etc..
And talked to friends heading to a local March earlier this afternoon, taking their kids and stuff. Its cool to see and inspiring at the very least..
More power to the people on a local level I guess
