In Bristol, there was a statue of some slave trader in a spot right by the water and bunch of people ripped it down, dragged it to the ledge and pushed it into the sea. Then someone went on Google and changed the location of statue to in the water and it if you look at it maps it says "attraction closed". No petition or anything, just got er done.

One of the guys in my bike club was lamenting that they took the pedestal with all the graffiti out and I agree that it would have been really cool to just leave it there to remind everyone that it was there and why it's gone. People would disagree with the aesthetics and I get that, but it would be cool with a capital C.

my sister was the D-Wade statue unveiling. she's done a lot of graphic work for his foundation, and helped design his book that came out last year as well. haven't gotten her reaction to it yet, but i saw it trending yesterday on twitter and was like ooooo....yikes. harkens back to the renaldo statue, just not even close to looking like the person lol.
