I saw spafford in Chicago last fall and enjoyed their set. It's indeed generic jamband music but their jams seemed legitimately improvised, and the vocals were better than expected (lyrics and songwriting mostly garbage, but music is danceable )
it's pretty easy to have fun at one of their shows

As just looking up a date for NMA and saw Spafford was going to be here in Nov, will keep it in mind,

Was looking at the music coming up for Charlotte...lol...some pretty funny band names out there....such originals as Drunk in a Dumpster (country, I'm assuming), American Murder Song,Paint Fumes, and Dead Cat....hmmm... .....saw they are rolling through here on a Tuesday night  , but they had this up ...the last two and half minutes are pretty good...moe.lite is a good description...guitarist is good though...like the jambase thing in the corner |

According to the station's playlist, it wasn't Twiddle...but damn the singer sounded just like Mihali in that Orlando's song.
