maybe you should re-read his tweet then hokie. he wasn't calling the pandemic dumb, he said the panic is dumb. which as an adult you should take with a grain of salt, as its up to the individual how cautious or "panicked" you choose to be with covid.

I read the tweet just fine the first time. He has been bitching about the restrictions as it pertains to his business the entire time, while simultaneously making money hand over fist. I don't get the adoration of this dude from the public, but he can get fucked as far as I'm concerned.

I will say that some of his adoration comes from fans of electric cars and wanting to stick it to the fossil fuel/combustion engine companies, fans of space exploration, and making internet available to folks worldwide with satellites. He is doing it both to be progressive and to make money.

for the record before the mob attacks me, billionaires making billions during the pandemic is the dumbest fucking thing ever. i agree on all fronts there, and think they should pay way more taxes. but again people didn't have much of a choice when the lockdowns hit. either starve at home or go support a big box store.
its almost like you're mad at Elon for being wildly successful. or is it his brash attitude he portrays? i'm not that surprised i guess, but i just figured a guy who has revolutionized the electric car market would have a more favorable opinion among liberals...
