I'll forward you something Bussit sent to me recently about jailbreaking... I'd like that info too, please. Not sure if I'll use it. Lot of streaming services are USA only, but I guess with a VPN there's ways to work around that.

Im doing prepaid internet through comcast. 90.00 start up. you buy the modem and get your first month. Then 45.00/month. Sweet fucking deal if you ask me. I've had no problems. Unlimited / highspeed.

Thanks.
It's actually worth it here to get cable tv with internet service because it's only around $50 for both and a landline telephone as well. Next place. I have to rely on shitty satellite service where I am now because the buildings conduit is filled up.

honestly the hardest part was when you had to use Kodi and find a correct build to use.. that was painful and very time consuming unless you found the right vid to match to your specific set up
Kodi no longer necessary

I cut it 7 years ago and never looked back.
Netflix HBOGo (sisters account she never uses) Hulu (got the $12/year deal on cyber Monday - ie commercials 👎)
My intertronz bill is still like $85/ month because I have no options other than Comcast. There’s a lower tier program, but you can’t use more than one device on WiFi at once. Total rip0ff.

In the states the cable companies divide up the territory so that they can do whatever they want, treat you however they want. You have no options. It sucks.
Down here you can choose between a few, but they still do what they want, treat you however they want. You have options, but no matter who you choose, they all suck. The only consolation is that you can choose your flavor of suck.

This is my chance to brag about my internet...I get fiber optic for $50/mo + $5/mo modem rental. I'm going to buy a nighthawk modem soon to stop paying the rental charge.
This small company called Empire builds out fiber optic systems in population centers that are primarily rural (Batavia fits the bill) and offers low cost internet.

It's best to do it yourself and that link will give you a super easy way to update it if one of the services goes down, which happens sometimes.

I changed to hulu without commercials. I couldn't take the same 4 commercials 12 times during an hour episode.

I'm with comcast and I pay $36 a month. If any of you want cheap intertronz from them: 1. Cancel your account 2. 5 minutes later open a new account and tell them you heard about the $19.99 intertronz for new customers (they won't offer it) 3. Now they have contracts so you will be locked in on the cheap.
They change their policies from time to time but I've managed this for several years now.

I've done well with the borrowing but I am currently on the third login and I'm sure I'll get kicked off again. No way am I going to pay comcast prices if I don't have to. 20 or 36 isn't bad. I still have a router from last time I paid for it. I wonder if that will be a problem if I re-sign up...
