My first time on mushrooms started with watching the movie.
Movie has a special place for me. I feel like the designed it to trip at home.
Lots of good fan scenes. Suspenders guy makes like 3 appearances

Love GD movie. I played it once for the fam at thanksgiving and they watched, lol.
Also, one time watched it first and then grateful dog after, this was during a pretty out there mushroom trip that started with watching the beginning of devils rejects, gettin freaked out, switching to Nilsson's the point, that REALLY weirded out a guy on his 1st shroom trip, a physical altercation broke out and he was physically removed and everyone left (this was xmas eve).
ANYWAY, the transition from young jerry to senile jerry in grateful dawg, while I was alone (I was also playing along with my guitar during much of it) was very impactful and eventually I had this epiphany about time not being linear, but an expanding, planar phenomenon, like I could see it. It was weird.
Really like gd movie...

Them shrooms can really flip a fella...
I have the grateful dog DVD too I'm pretty sure I got it at ROSS for $5.
Funny about showing the fam on Thanksgiving. I would do that if football and parades were cancelled.
Funny thinking back I was 17 and ate a strong edible after turkey dinner. Was sprawled out of the couch eyes chinked thinking I was super secret and my uncle called me out in front of everyone 'what's up with you you stoned or something?' Damn I popped up quick. It's the triptofan!

I mean most people forget but every mushroom trip has its highs and lows.
That first time I did it as a teen we were watching the GD movie and my friend went into the bathroom, stared at himself too long and passed out and smoked his head on the toilet. We had to bust the door down, friends moms comes down to the basement and we try to play it cool.
Ended up being a good night/adventure

Space mirrors are not for the weak. It's best to avoid them altogether unless you really know what you are doing. You'll end up up getting freaked out, unleash candyman or something dumb like that
