I love your avatar. I saw Stanton Moore do that except he stood up and started playing the cymbal with the tambourine after.

IF you like good beer there is a bar called "hop cat" right in midtown. They have like a million hetty brews on tap. Also get their crack fries. They are addictive.

yeah hop cat is a small chain started in Grand rapids. It is now in Detroit Lansing and Ann Arbor. They have a large selection of good beer, tasty food and sometimes they have live music upstairs.

www.jollypumpkin.com/jp/detroit-jolly-pumpkin-breweryalso near there is this spot. Jolly Pumpkin makes some of the best sour beer out there. Also their pizza is some of the best pizza around. THey use a yeast strain that is 100 years old or something to make the crust. Shits dank as fuck.

www.easternmarket.com/attend/saturday-marketalso in the area is a really awesome Farmers market area. Also has tons of food and some bars I believe. This also goes on Sundays too. Real cool morning / early afternoon activity. I can't remember the name but there is a spot in there that has super good bloody marys

Not sure what your budget is or your transportation system will be. But Greektown Casino puts you in the heart of the action. There are a couple decent hotels over by the river and there is the motor city casino which is right on the edge of down town. also www.coachinsigniadetroit.com/Don't eat the food there it is over priced but go up there and get a drink at sunset. TRUST ME If the weather is nice you wont regret paying 8 bucks for a beer and the view. That building has a hotel but its just meh in my opinion.

I am assuming we won't have any budget constraints since we are just staying one night. I never ever budget for food, I just want good food. The whole casino thing though... I fucking hate casinos.

Are there hotels in Midtown that are nice? Generally we have enough travel points to get anything that is a Hilton, Marriott or Ritz brand for free.

Im not positive but I dont think midtown had any hotels. I could be wrong. The main hotels down town are by the river. So it would be a 10 min cab ride or less.
