Since we started taking over the NFL thread....
post hot tips.
I think I figured something out about live betting soccer. Will develop this theory further.

So this only works in certain situations but I'm going to look out for it and test it.
So if you live bet a game that's in progress and tied 0-0, usually both teams are plus money unless one is an overwhelming favorite or has momentum or whatever. Say +200 and +300. I did this with $5. Put 5 on each team as long as the lower of the two odds covers the $10 if it hits. Then, if one of those teams scores, the tie option usually goes up to like +400, put 5 on that. Now you have all three possible outcomes at plus money and as long as the lowest odd's cover the two that would lose ($10) you're good. Unless you get that 0-0 tie and never get the chance to bet the tie, because the odds never increase... then you're in the degenerate wook gambling corner.

Soccer? Meh.
The college basketball shit show of a season is heating up. Big10/ACC challenge. Wisconsin hit -10.5 tonight so that was nice.

I had a system for betting roulette. It worked and I'd be up - until it didn't and I'd be down. Go back the following week, do it all over. Kept track of wins/losses and over time I broke even, not counting all the free drinks and meals, so I guess I finished up. One of my casino buddies was the type who'd bet on anything. A buck says that of the next ten women to walk in through the casino door, at least six are blonds. He once bet me that at some point in the next five minutes every seat at the computerized roulette table would be filled by Asians. I lost a buck on that.
Most sports betting was on suggestions of degenerate gambling friends who lived football. Knowledgeable as they were about the game I'm pretty sure they got off more on betting on the games than watching for joy of the sport. Did the best betting conservatively on NFL games. No big wins, but steady little wins that added up over the season. Thank goddesss I never got beat by a completely unexpected upset. Made 10k over two seasons, but lost half of that one weekend during the second season playoffs where I went out a bit too far in front of skis in needing everything to go just right on a parlay.
Used to go to Hollywood Park on Fridays for Dollar Night and bet on the ponies. Dollar parking, dollar entrance, dollar hot dogs, dollar beers. We'd always wind up hanging out with some old timer track junkies who'd share their tips with us. Usually left up for the night.
Sumo wrestling used to be on the Japanese cable channel every Wednesday night and me and some friends got hooked watching at my regular dive bar. Easy money betting against non-regulars who just assumed the biggest fattest guy was going to win. As regular watchers, we knew who was who and it was pretty easy to figure out who was gonna win. Fun to watch and fun to win.
Bet Jai-Lai once, but had no idea what was what. I was drunk. Don't remember if I won or lost. Don't matter.
The most fun was betting with drunk locals on cock fights. Something about being the complete opposite of being in a Vegas sports book with dozens of televisions and being up close to the action - which was actually kind of boring.
I don't watch enough American sports anymore to know what's what, but I do like checking in on the NFL thread to see you guys do your thing.

One of my gambling buddies was fond of saying "Winner winner, chicken dinner" when appropriate. Used to get a reliable laugh out of me.
