Red headed pecker makes sense too The red *bellied has a small red patch on the belly that isn't represented in that illustration. We get red bellieds here and I want to say that might be a flicker. Any glimpse of the belly, dpb?

The banding on the back is much more pronounced on the red headed. I'm going with flicker unless you can confirm a red patch.

I was taking a a video of a baby bird that could not really fly.
It hopped a few branches then jumped onto my hand/phone!
I was kinda shocked and froze. Then I kind of put my hand in a bush and it jumped off
