We got a few inches of ice and snow and now the power is out. I'm really glad we got backup power for our boiler heat.

Very sorry about your friend CP.
So Ella's LL fee was $250 (?!?!) but if you work four concession stand shifts you get $100 back. Last night was my first shift. Ava came with me so we finally had some "just us" time. Probably been years since that's happened - no exaggeration. I really had no idea what to expect. Figured I'd be handing out sodas and candy. Well we get there and the other volunteer had only done it once before and it was just us. So they sell burgers, dogs, fries, chicken fingers, etc. Woman says I have no idea how to do the grill and deep fryer so you? I said no but I'll figure it out. Ava did the dogs, I did everything else. We had a friggin' ball. We were slinging it! I made at least 20 burgers, Ava made more than that in dogs. Nobody brought anything back so I guess we did alright. Really looking forward to next time.
