We had another home made dinner back at my friends. I grilled to thank them for their amazing hospitality and opening their home so it was charcoal cooked chicken legs, some 1" steaks, grilled zucc and peppers like I posted in the garden thread, bacon wrapped green onions and wife roasted sweet potatoes in the oven, more caprese, and pesto over rotini with some sausage.

same. It might be later than we thought because our return flights got fucked since we missed the departure from Queens. Trying to sort it out now |

 Carbonara #3. Roma Sparita is still the champ.  shrimp and prawn ravioli in pistachio pesto. The ravioli was also stuffed with shrimp. Things are dicey with our return flights... I could use some good luck |

They canceled our flight and we're back in Rome. Rescheduled for tomorrow so it looks like we get back the day we lost due to snafu!

BONUS TER  Trattoria Mercato. There is a famous sandwich shop here we wanted to check out  Pizza by weight. They will cut whatever size you want and you pay accordingly  Porchetta! "Porchetta is a savory, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition. The carcass is deboned, arranged carefully stuffed with liver, wild fennel, all fat and skin still on spitted, and/or roasted, traditionally over wood for at least 8 hours."  Meatball sub; grandmas recipe. Excellent  Italian beef. Holy cannoli the flavor on this was incredible. Seasoned and marinated with spinach, tomatoes and kalamata olives. |
