My dad yelled all the time. It was awful. My dad didn't really yell. He never hit me. Yet somehow he managed to instill this fear in me. He made it clear I didn't want to upset the old man. The worst was being told at the dinner table that we needed to have a talk after dinner. I'd go to his bedroom, sit in the corner chair, while he lounged in bed smoking and telling me how disappointed he was because my teachers say I'm a bright kid, I just don't apply myself. I hated those lectures. I think my three years younger sister got the yelling. They did not get along at all. |

My dad would yell...but only when warranted. He hit me, but only when I talked back to my mom (which was rare...because he hit me, lol).

My old man only piped up if I was in big trouble
Mama tried to raise me better, her pleading I denied... on the whole I wasn't a horrible kid
I just smoked weed and ate mishrooms in my room , since I was the kid that got in trouble for being out late n mama gave no fucks she'd yell at me in front of kids if need be and what have you

Legs is working all weekend...so I probably won't be able to do the Mortalis party, but I would absolutely be down for taking the kids to see the pirate ship...
Do you have the kids on Friday night?

One of my kids told me she hates me for the first time yesterday. I took her phone away because her progress report came from school and her grades suck... It's eating at me a bunch... Feeling very down today... No one is a "great parent" we all make mistakes. Look on the bright side the odds of at least one of your kids becoming a success is still pretty good... just kidding. Your doing fine, I got a three year old who beats his mother up and tells her he is going to "throw her in the trash" So if it took till 13 for her to reach that level of frustration with you I'm sure your doing ok. Also don't be afraid of counseling it can be a great tool for everyone. |

Thanks Ellis. Appreciate the kind words. My 9 year old beats on Legs a little bit. I don't tolerate that shit though. I go through the roof when he hits her.

Yeah, similar to my situation. My 9 year old has a bad temper...when he loses it you never know what's going to happen.

Lol. Dhar Mann is a learning tool for Kids. Its a situational sketch video series about being a good person and doing the right thing. Cheesy as all get out but I watch them with my son.
