Thinking about killing yourself a thousand times a day is NOT the same as being suicidal.

Do you have space in your life to take on something creative? Maybe one project, just one (we all have too many) that youve been putting off. Just make time for that one project and see it through, no pressure, as long as it takes, so long as you give it a little time each time you feel bored or less satisfied with your day to day.
Just a thought. You do the things you do in your life because somewhere below the sense of obligation, it adds value to your experience, otherwise it wouldnt be something you do. Same with things we INTEND to do. Boredom often is due to a mindset or forgetting the root value to our activities OR because we havnt taken a chance to remove something in our life that has run its course and our efforts would be best applied somewhere else.
Thats not to say that some things may be hard to find that root value, or we could feel certain components of our life have run their course, but we feel trapped, like we cant step away and shift our efforts. If you cant step away, you can find the root value of WHY you cant step away. The trap is often in the mindset and not the circumstance itself.
Just musings on your more general comment, I realize it may not jive with the context you may have been been coming from, but I guess thats how I see your comment relating to my current struggles.

Here's something Pat had to say.
"The picture of mindfulness that has emerged is that of a radically empowering practice, for it is a practice that equips people with the skills to regulate their own attention and emotions. This means we should not be surprised if mindfulness does not get much support from those in power, for those in power have an interest in preventing those who are not from becoming too independent, too creative, and too insightful. But such shifts in power may be a vital part of the effort to restore an ailing democracy back to health."
Comstock, P. W. (2015) The Politics of Mindfulness. A Response to "Mindfulness, Democracy, Education Democracy and Education, 23 (2), Article 8

This winter and start to 2022 has been a bore. Meditation for the DayLove the busy life. It is a joy-filled life. Take your fill of joy in the spring. Live outdoors whenever possible. Sun and air are nature's great healing forces. That inward joy changes poisoned blood into a pure, healthy, life-giving flow. But never forget that the real healing of the spirit comes from within, from the close, loving contact of your spirit with God's spirit. Keep in close communion with God's spirit day by day. Prayer for the DayI pray that I may learn to live the abundant life. I pray that I may enjoy a close contact with God this day and be glad in it.

Instead, it chronicles failures in virtually every other element of our mental health system, including the ineffective delivery of care, the gutting of community health services and the reliance on police and jails for crisis services. It also calls out a paradox: that the United States, a country that leads the world in spending on medical research, also stands out for its dismal outcomes in people with mental illnesses. Indeed, over the last three decades, even as the government invested billions of dollars in better understanding the brain, by some measures, those outcomes have deteriorated.
