I was listening to a pod about this last week. In theory once they can get them into the artic and they populate they will stomp down the larger trees and bushes that are pushing carbon into the ice. Thus cooling the planet. wasn't calling them idiots for the science part of it. idiots because they haven't heeded the warnings clearly laid out in cinematic feature, jurassic park.

I didn't assume you thought anything before I wrote that. I just got excited to spew some shit I probably remembered incorrectly. Game on Wayne

I guess the first one is supposed to be born in 2024. Its gestating in an Indian elephant as it is the closest relative. The were also talking about bringing back the Tasmanian tiger as I guess lack of predators has caused the taz devil to get some sort of herpes. Seems like good stuff but I am sure there are reasons we should not be doing this.

I was not aware of these. Pretty neat. Apparently their honey is still sweet and safe for us to eat.

Oils oxidize with oxygen which is a chemical reaction and thus causes heat. My favorite part is where he forgets about it and his wife tells him...

I think its more about it not requiring an outside ignition. Certain materials in certain circumstances can self ignite.
"Linseed, poppy, walnut drying oils. Instead of drying by evaporation they dry by oxidation. There are references to it in military training manuals (Improvised Incendiary Techniques) that use it for sabotage with a timer. Mixing it with kapoc (similar to cat tail fuzz) furniture stuffing, or dryer lint in climates with low humidity will start a fire with a 1 hour to 6 hour time period.
There is no telling how many home fires have been started with improper rag and material storage because sometimes the linseed or other oils is not clearly marked as an ingredient. Airtight containers and store outside where it will not burn down your house."
