Man I get a good kick out of storm chasers.
They spend all the money on their storm chase vehicles and camera gear. They drive into this stuff to try to get as close as possible. For 'research' but it's just a group of nerds that high five eachother after every event.
All self taught. It's like being a detective on reddit.

Great show on Netflix EARTHSTORM shows these guys. I guess it's common to have 100+ tornado chasers during peak season
