NPR posted this story and the first comment was a woman saying "he should have complied"
I rebutted and essentially said fuck that, he is trying to get to a major golf tournament.
Then a bunch of boomers rebutted with "does he think he's better than everybody else"
And I was like, yeah! He's considerably better at gold than everybody else

I guess that I'm the sole outlier. What I see is another rich, entitled individual that thinks that they are above the law and that the rules shouldn't apply to them. While I understand the anti-cop sentiment, this dude is a dumbass that should be held accountable for his poor decision. It's not like these guys were blocking traffic to fuck with people. They were there in response to a pedestrian fatality involving a shuttle bus. Anytime you decide to ignore a guy in a vest who is directing traffic, whether it's a cop, construction worker, etc, you are choosing to endanger other people. Another example of someone who thinks that they are the main character.

Keep in mind that these guys drive through a clusterfuck 5 times every week at every golf tournament and are used to going around checkpoints and regular tournament traffic. It’s why they have branded courtesy cars. Scheffler said he thought it was regular traffic and didn’t know there was an accident. I still can’t believe they are going to prosecute him with those charges.

happy xander broke through for his 1st major yesterday. he was on the short list of best golfers to not win a major.
bryson getting that much fan support was wild, just goes to show the whole LIV/PGA thing doesn't matter that much when all the guys are competing against each other.
