Woke up this morning to an email confirming a job I was hoping to get but was starting to think I might not. Also didn't feel like I got my ass kicked for the first time this week. Looking forward to riding tomorrow.

So the job I am trying to finish up today, lady texts me this morning says she's going to be out, door is unlocked. Get door is not unlocked. Texted her, she says daughter will answer the door. Daughter isn't here. Texted her again and she said husband is on his way to unlock. So now I have to sit here and wait for him instead of you just giving me the code to the keypad on either the door or the garage door? Wtf

Another chapter in the psycho spunion chronicles. My friend's son called me and said he wasn't in rehab just holed up at friends house who was trying to keep him stationary. Said he's full blown delusional still and might not be safe to be around. I hope he gets better but I think I have to cut him off for now.
Like ten years ago, this other dude who was just an acquaintance from baby mama's circle of friends, went crazy after taking a shitload of L for an extended period of time and then murdered his brother and his girlfriend. Not saying that's what my friend is going to do but there are definitely parallels to this situation.

Hope the husband didn't take too long to open up the house. That really sucks about your friend. Kid seems to have his wits about him.
I'm on day 3 of no water. I didn't realize it was off 2 days ago or I wouldn't have accidentally drained the tank by doing laundry and the dishes. The spigot in the front works so I'm flushing the toilet with buckets.

Kid is a 24 yr old trans boy. He's a cool person and I feel bad he's having to deal with his psycho dad.

Only had to wait 20 minutes for husband, guess they needed to put the dog away too.
But just last like time I worked for these people, she came home and then left again when I'm almost done. I hope I don't have to come back to get a check. I paid some bills this morning knowing I would get paid today.

Following hurricane Gloria we didn’t have power for quite awhile and an electric pump. We had a brook than ran in the back of the house so every morning it was young Salmon’s job to fill buckets so we could flush toilets. It felt very Little Home on the Prairie.

They brought in a water truck to fill the communal tank. Some neighbors further down the pipe did not get any. Apparently we are being charged for well water like it's city water and it is not functioning. #justsicilythings I just reset the water heater after the gas outage so I get to shower today. Hooray!

Sophomore in college. I remember being really drunk and wandering the streets of Boston with my college buddies during the hurricane, but not sure if it was before/during/or after it hit hardest. Why? Younger and stupider me must have thought it seemed like the thing to do at the time.

I'm so used to power and water outages by now. In AQP we had a 1,000 liter tank on the roof so when the routine cutoffs for water line maintenance hit we were good. Power outages are fairly common here in the summer. Sometimes they last a couple of minutes, sometimes a couple of hours, sometimes all day long. A lot of times you get advanced notice, but sometimes not. Constant water and power is a nice first world luxury, but eventually you get used to outages and always keep your feathers numbered (and water buckets filled) for just such an emergency.

My GD Dick’s Picks journey ended today. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been knocking out a release each day at work. 36 of them, probably close to 45 or 50 total/partial shows. It is wild how little of the 80’s was represented and I think one 90’s show.

The very last release, 36, from Philly 72 is a heater. Vol 33 Oakland Day on the Green 1976 is fantastic. Vol 21 11-1-85 Richmond VA I enjoyed a lot mostly because I have listened to the Halloween 85 show so much because it’s the only time they played my state of SC. Interesting to hear the follow up show to that. Vol 27 12/6-7 1992 Oakland is great. They are dialed in.
Those are some off the top of my head. None of them made me think why would they pick this? They are all solid.

My buddy was in town from Maine for a family reunion and I went up to hang out at his mom's and some other old friends stopped by and we threw the frisbee around in the creek and ate corn on the cob and it was wonderful.
