Huge Flyers win over the league-leading panthers tonight, and with half our defense on IR and just trading one of the best defensemen we had (Good luck in ‘Rado, Walker). Great way to kick off a tough stretch of games.
Danny Briere has been a stellar GM in his first year, stockpiling draft picks and making smart moves around tough circumstances (Cutter Gauthier, Carter Hart). Hoping he can still fill some of the aforementioned defensive holes before the trade deadline tomorrow to still stay competitive leading up to and hopefully in the playoffs. Maybe flip Johansen, but someone would have to want him 😬

Got what I asked for as far as some late trade deadline defensive help in the way of Erik Johnson. Older and past his prime but a cup winner, veteran presence, solid addition to help the kids down the stretch. Hope to see him in the lineup tonight but haven’t heard anything official yet
