I really had the best time in a really long time. Incredible weekend. I didn’t think I would ever go back to Vegas again. And when we got tickets, I figured this would be one last time. Nah, bro, Nah. I will go to this again every time if I can. It was that magical. I’m sure the pictures and the stream didn’t do it justice. I didn’t even eat any space and it was the trippiest experience of my life. I would find myself getting completely lost in it. Visuals aside, it’s the best sounding venue I have ever been to. Before this, my best sounding Phish show was at Radio City. This was better. We had what would be considered dream seats for Phish the second night, if this wasn’t the Sphere. The best seats are the 300 and 400 level, which is so cool to me. So any and every seat is a great seat, as long as they are not obstructed in the 100 level. Those seats are fucking bullshit. They shouldn’t even exist. We met people who had them and were bummed. They paid a fortune to go to this and didn’t see the entire production. So, a tip for next time, don’t waste your money if these are your only seating options. It’s not worth it. If I bought a ticket for Postcards From Earth, and they were those seats, I would have wanted a refund. This was such a cash grab on the owners part. Other than that, they could have added more bathrooms. Long lines to pish. Long lines for everything really. If you drink beer instead of liquor, it’s much faster, since e they have these little self serve can fridges. Grab what you need and self checkout. Pretty great. I ran to pish on night one, and in the bathroom, it sounded like the band was in a slow spacey thing that was about to blast off into something good. “I better get back before they go off.” When I got back in, they were already in the middle of the song. Huh? Yeah, you can’t hear the show outside the room…at all. So what was that music? It was Trey on his digital delay loop. He recorded all the music you heard all weekend in the Atrium. That absolutely blew me away. When I told a dude at the pisher on night two, he said he had the same thought about the night before, that he thought it was the band from the stage transitioning into another song. Wild. Other than that, Vegas is Vegas. It’s expensive. I spent a fortune. I tried In-N-Out for the first time. It’s completely overrated, but I’m glad I got to try it. We had a couple truly great meals, other than that. 10/10. I’ll definitely do this again. Id have to agree. Our seats in 110 were right below one of the speakers and the sound was immaculate. Fish man was on fire and thats the best mix ive ever heard at a venue. Crystal fucking clear. Bathroom lines did suck then noticed a family bathroom on side of 110 with no lines. Solved that issue. Semi Obstructed view kinda sucked for the upper visuals but the sound made up for it. I could just keep raving about the sound quality. I almost dont want to bother seeing music again if i cant have that auditory bliss. I think the upper section obstructed must have sucked real hard but we only had partial obstruction so wasn't end of world. Basically if you were behind row 25 your view was awful. Above row 23 you had no obstruction. Id def sit in 100s for the sound in one of those rows

No because they clearly stepped it up visually and stopped focusing on the stage for the stream audience. Night one was an underwhelming stream experience. thought the one spot the visuals lacked overall was being on cue with the music or changing with the music. i'm not talking every single change like Kuroda-esque, but there are some songs that have obvious breaks or changes where the visuals could have enhanced the song. still think the place is tits, especially the reviews from everyone saying how great it sounded. interested to see what the dead & co. team do with it as i feel like they lean into the psychedelic realm more than phish does in their artwork. Important to note kuroda was not controlling the visuals so we cant expect his level of percision. And they got better each night tbf.

When I saw a little bit of the nye stream and they did the gamehenge stuff, I was thinking that they fucked up by doing that early. They should have hired some guys from Pixar or something and made it into a whole movie thing to do at this.

D'oh! Matt Groening was at night 4. Missed opportunity for a Simpson's secret language, which they haven't done since 2013.

^I just sent that to some friends. My understanding is that Matt is a lifelong Phish fan and has been seeing them since the early 90's, possibly earlier.
I always enjoy reading about the celebrities who go to these big shows like Phish or DeadnCo etc.

I have a friend I've known since the late 80's. She went to some local dead shows during the MegaDead period and loves weed, but isn't close to being a head. She only knows of Phish because she knew I used to do ter. When I was in SoCal (where she lives) for Festival 8 I offered her an opportunity to do a small amount of work/trade during setup and breakdown at our booth for a ticket. She declined because she wasn't really at all interested in the band. Bueno. What she is however is a big Drew Carey fan. Loved his show and comedy. Thought he was sexy. He was her celebrity crush. I wonder if she's now feeling she needs to get in on this Phish thing.

Drew's a solid dude. Paid for out of work writers/actors meals at some place for the entirety of the most recent strikes.

Alright, so I gather almost anywhere in the building is a great sound and visual experience except seats in the 100s behind a certain row. Is that accurate and what row would you need to be in front of to avoid the obstructed view?
