Might I suggest having something stored on your phone less melodic for just such occasions. Lou Reed's 'Metal Machine Music,' primal scream influenced bands, etc. Some act/band should record an obnoxious track for just this type of thing with relevant lyrics that point out how big of an asshole the person is for thinking everyone wants to listen to his phone shit.

I did a mini version of my “I am going to just bring a boom box in and turn it up if some asshole sits down next to me at a restaurant while I am trying to eat and decides to turn the area around him into his living room by blasting his phone.” My Mom and I were eating and this dude gets seated to the left of us but facing us and orders. Then he proceeds to set his phone up on the table while he waits and turns on something with a laugh track going off every 5 seconds and at just at a stupid volume. Staring at him didn’t phase him. He was focused. I was going to just let it go but then the waitress came over with his food and I thought maybe he turns it off and eats. Nope, he just starts eating and continue to watch like he is at his house in the recliner. The clincher was when the waitress apologized for his food taking a little longer than expected, this asshole says “Can I get that straw…..someday?” That’s when I slid my phone as close to my side of the table that makes it closest to him and proceed to pull up Paranoid by Sabbath and crank it up. 😂 I watch this dude look up like WTF and I finish the last bit of my food and get up and go pay the bill (slowly) and just leave it playing while my Mom finishes up. Her hearing is not what it once was so she is kinda oblivious to this whole circus happening. We get up to leave and I turn it off and his shit is now even more overwhelming because he was trying to out loud me. Immature? Sure. Worth it? Absolutely. 🤪 Disclaimer: we were seated in a part of the restaurant where no one else was affected by this duel. being a doosh is the most immature thing of all. |

You should try to make friends with the crows so they bring you cool shit There is a large group of crows that work the neighborhood around work, they are always within a block or two. There are some large trees and fields and they will systematically work their way across the fields. Once more traffic starts showing up, they leave. I have often thought about bringing them some treats. I want my own crow army, at at very least some allies in the sky. If you have dog or cat food, they really love that. Also unsalted peanuts. |

Raisinette has been awarded $750k in scholarships total. She has chosen her law school... drum roll... Northwestern U. Chicago base holla back. Lawd she comin. Northwestern campus is fucking beautiful, especially in the spring>summer>fall time! I love Evanston, it's right on the water, right on the Chicago border, and the downtown area is basically like a mini Chicago on its own. Plus Evanston has the best wing spot in Chicago and you're very close to one of the best breakfast spots in all the Chicagoland area as well. My first condo was fairly close to Evanston and Northwestern Campus and when my wife and I moved to the city our condo was also very close to downtown Evanston and campus. I know that area very well, Autophil does too because he lived closed to there for a few years. Let me know if you have any questions or need any advice on anything in that area, I basically grew up in Evanston as well.
Most importantly congratulations to Raisinette! Northwestern has one of the best law schools in the country and getting a degree from there....well the sky's the limit!

Nothing annoys me more than people who watch videos or talk on their phone really loud in public places, especially places of business like restaurants. Reminds me that we took the girls to see Peter Pan on Saturday. During the first act, the first song a group of 4 younger looking Russians sat in the seats next to ours...there was nowhere else to sit, in our row. One of the women was INCREDIBLY obnoxious and was talking loudly (we were 8 rows back from the stage) because she thought my wife was in her seat, so she was making a scene to make sure my wife could hear her. She then proceeded to go up to my wife, told her she was in her seat, to which my wife very politely said, "No, i'm in my seat, i can show you the ticket on my phone" so the women demanded she lift up her seat so she could see the seat number. So my wife obliged and showed her she was in her seat, the women didn't apologize, didn't say anything, just turned around and sat in her seat. Her group was very obnoxious too, they were on their phones most of the first act, just very disrespectful to everyone around us. Having grown up and been around Eastern Europeans my whole life, I have to say, they are my least favorite kind of people

Now that I think about it, i'm pretty sure Northwesterns Law school is located in downtown Chicago in an area called Streeterville, right by the Mag Mile. Also a beautiful area off course and right by the water as well, and in the heart of downtown Chicago. |
