I'm a fan of English cockney rhyming slang, but that's a whole different thread. I had a Brit friend who used it a lot. Ask me for an oily. First time I gave them a puzzled look. 'An oily, you know, oily rag - bundle of sticks.' 'Oh, a cigarette.' 'Right. An oily.'
