I remember pulling into the lot and seeing about 20 people face down on the grass with zip ties around their wrists. Bad vibes galore outside the venue.

nah... i was thanking them for coming out and supporting me... (thought everybody was actors there for my big party)...
they were like dude you gotta get away from us... they ordered a cab... i had $600+ cash in my pocket from selling a hotel room...
told the cabbie to take me to VA beach ... he was like im not going to va beach... so i got out of the cab... the cop was like i tried... hand cuff'd...

I was really busy in 09 finishing school and moving to South Carolina for the summer job.
I actually found jambase forums that summer looking for live music down there. It was before most socials and easy info. The tail end of the early internet age.
Not going to lie I didn't even hear phish was back. Maybe I did but it didn't matter to me.
I moved from SC to AZ to live alone at 21. It was sweet. My first day in AZ I went to phish.com to see tour dates and fest 8 was 10 days and 100 miles away.
I asked for time off during my first week and went solo to my first phish shows!

And thank God and Trey they made it back and in a big way.
Phish was broken up when I was 16-21. I didn't go to any concerts or fest until I was about 18 but them being broken up during teen wook years put then on the backburner.
That's probably why I'm a big SCI fan too
