I love my job, but I am incredibly happy it's Friday! Today is going to be tough, though, especially the meeting we are set to have at the end of the day. My folks are going to take the kids overnight after we have family dinner and it will be nice to relax, watch the Bulls, maybe some Phish and enjoy the night, I need a little release this weekend!

Agreed with the shitty work. I could be eating acid and riding my new bike to celebrate bicycle day. Instead the surprise scheduled me on my day off. Not sure how the fuck the can ignore bicycle day yet throw parties for all the other holidays. Figures. The owner is a republican.

No work today, but do have a class to take most of the morning.
We are looking at a high of 40, damp, and this afternoon windy and possible wintery mix, and of course wind.
Any bicycle time today will be on the indoor trainer.

Did I tell you folks that in addition to a Neurologist I now have a Cadiologist? I don't think I mentioned it. I started having "conversations" with him after my scare in Feb. He ordered a bunch of tests for me. They were all good... except for one. I'm not gonna drop dead anytime soon but apparently one of my arteries is so hard it will F you up!
Nothing but salads, beets, omega-3 fish, etc from now on.
Have a giant ribeye for me!
And if you're still smoking cigs please STOP, STOP, STOP. Shockingly my lungs are still pink. And all of the boozin' and whatever else I got into hasn't really impacted my PHYSICAL health....
It was the cigs. Who knew right?? Plaque? WTF is that? Like on your teeth?

Same mistake I made. After I sobered up in 2017 I felt pretty good so I didn't see a doctor for a few years, and then Covid.
Until I didn't feel fine. And even then I just "felt funny." Couldn't describe it any better. Went to McMedicine (Patient First) because I didn't have a Gen Prac anymore. They said your BP is high. Take this medicine.
Five months later I had the stroke.
It was a big mistake for a man in his 50's with my history to not have a trusted Gen. Practioner.
Get one in your 40's and stick with him or her. And be honest. "Pain in the ass" Doctor visits will keep you out of physically and financially traumatic hospital stays.

Doctor told me yesterday that he was fine with smoking when if it's legal. Which I took to mean the biggest health hazard is getting busted. Heading to the hospital to get bloodwork done now. Might pick up a bag afterwards.

so i said to wally: what you should do is look at places that have missile defense systems, new jails and emergency 911 systems. there's 18 or so. and then check vehicle registrations because people should be registering their vehicles or at least have insurance... And he said listen to set one...
