Very proud of Lil dude. Yesterday, he went over to neighbors across the way for his first real "job" haha Can say that is prolly the hardest and most honest 20 bucks he's ever made He got 90s'd on the pay out lol, but he got to drive a lawn mower with a trailer to dump wood , he hauled a bunch of cut tree stuff to the curb and even got to go up in the lift And , he LOVED IT , he was whooped, brought him home soem fancy root beer and poured him a nice frozen mug Thanked and shook everyone's hand he worked with on the way out taboot Lil dude is evolving into a Lil man Fuggin Pokémon...haha!

Hitting up Shenandoah National Park tomorrow. Really excited let me know if you need any trail or post trail ideas. I know the park and surrounding towns fairly well. especially the northern half. I did see that they recently paused fishing in the park due to low water levels and high water temps. So you may want to skip the waterfall hikes. Other tip is that the popular hikes can have crowded parking lots. you may want to look at the map as you can often get there from another lot with a slightly different hike.

Thanks for the advice! We're planning to hike to Black Rock summit and were going to hike to a waterfall but may not do that one.
My folks are going with us so we can't do anything too long or strenuous...
The weather is going to be really nice... Only a high of 81 tomorrow.
It's so freaking hot down here!

^^ It's a little further south of black rock but bear fence rock is a cool hike with 360 views. there's a little rock scramble so you parents and youngest may need to sit it out.

Dark Hollow Falls is probably the most popular waterfall. if you park a little north you can get there from a forest road which is easier and less crowded.

Today is Yes Day and we’re headed to the good waterpark on the eastside of town. Last year I forced Riceboy to go down a water slide as I knew he’d enjoy it once he overcomes his fear and he would want to go down it many more times. I was right about that. He is really looking forward to today.

Sometimes you just gotta throw your kid down a water slide for his own good

The limberlost trail is flat and wheelchair accessible but it's actually pretty enjoyable little nature walk. Matthew's arm camping area has a nice easy nature walk trail too.

Read recent reviews of lower white oak falls and it's still flowing and you can swim in the pools
