I'm shocked at how much pro-Hill sentiment there is on-line after seeing the video. I get hating the cops, and even assuming the cops were the problem, I just can't get there after watching the video.

well its not hard to figure out why people are defending hill in this situation. he was forcibly ripped from his car and driven to the ground, for a traffic stop. same shit black guys been dealing with for years. and sure Tyreek was running his mouth but these videos also exemplify police brutality in an everyday manner. again for a traffic stop...
but sure blame it on the guy that's had his past transgressions. certainly no corrupt cops in miami either, i'm sure its all on the up and up down there.

The cops suck all over the place. But watching the video, guy gets pulled over for excessive speeding, has windows tinted so dark you can't see a thing, tells the cops a dozen times not to touch his windows, tells the cop not to tell him what to do, rolls his window back up, etc... This isn't a guy who is being treated unfairly. If the cops beat the shit out of him or cited him with a bunch of trumped-up charges, maybe, but I'm not sure what the expectation here should be. He would never had to have left his car if he acted like a normal human during this interaction. He wasn't even brought to the station, he was handcuffed to control his bullshit, give a ticket and then released.

I know if I had ever done those things in my interactions with the cops, things would've gone worse for me than they did for him. Fuck that dude.

There are more than enough instances to truly roast the cops, especially with their interactions with people of color, but I'm truly not sure what you expect the cops to do here.

everyone was an asshole in this interaction, tyreek included. the cops saying "oh you should have had surgery on your ear instead when we told you to roll the window down?"
they were asshole cops on a power trip. same with the scheffler situation earlier this year.

here's the full video for those that want to draw their own conclusions. you can hear Tyreek say "just give me a ticket, I'm going to be late man" and then after that is when the cops CHOSE to escalate the situation, when all they had to do was issue the citation. www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/bodycam-tyreek-hill-police-traffic-stop/3412891/i am curious though, if this was any other player besides a known domestic abuser, i wonder what ya'lls reactions would have been. likely a little more discerning about the cops and how they handled this situation, but i'm just guessing...

I'm sure that Tyreek Hill's past transgressions and general demeanor color my perception of him, but the first 3 minutes of that interaction show me all I need to see. This isn't a he didn't comply so he deserved to get shot in the face situation. He was being a dick, not following orders and was briefly detained and issued a summons and then allowed to go make a million dollars at work that day. He wasn't beat up, injured, cited for a bunch of bullshit charges, etc.

I'm in a fantasy league with some friends and was losing by 30 points before the game last night. Jake moody ended up scoring 26 points for me and I won by 3 points. Wow!

Compliance
what motivates someone to comply? I imagine that as a Black person your feelings on compliance with the police would be different than for a white person. Where does compliance get us? Is compliance democratic?

Caleb Williams looked like a Rookie qb on sunday. But it was his first game in the NFL and i'm not worried about it. Elway was 1-8 in his first NFL game with an INT. The Bears defense showed glimmers of various "Monsters of the Midway" in years past. Cool stat: Only 3 teams in the modern NFL have won a game down 17 without scoring an offensive touchdown. 2 of those teams were the Bears and the other Bears team was the 2001 team when they beat the Cardinals and: THE BEARS ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!

Also, first QB win his first start on opening day elieve it was 0-14-1 record
It is now 1-14-1
Rookie QB or not, when you are potential generational prospect...ya gotta throw for more than a hundred yards and yes I know the Receivers weren't helping at times...keenan...gota have that one in the emdzone
D looks good, don't like them giving up 17 and having to dig back, but they did it so well take it
Interior O line is gonna be a huge question mark all season, long as the tackles stay healthy , the outside gonna be stellar

Compliance what motivates someone to comply? I imagine that as a Black person your feelings on compliance with the police would be different than for a white person. Where does compliance get us? Is compliance democratic? This wasn’t some crazy shit like yelling opposite instructions while aiming a gun at them. It was a pretty straight-forward order to roll his window down and leave it down. The entire transaction is over in 5 minutes if that happens. Compliance is part of the bargain with public policing, just like it is in courts. Black people have every right in the world to be wary of the police, this was a rich guy being an asshole.

I find it crazy how few reps the rookie QB’s got in the preseason. It’s hard to think Williams or Daniels would be even close to ready with only playing a few drives.
