Weekend motorcycle ride up to a buddies in mid Florida was great success. Perfect cooler weather. Good food good bourbon even went out on his boat one afternoon. No gator sightings

I hope venk is ok, mentally, as well but I've enjoyed the silence the last few weeks. The fact is he has been a pric to almost everyone on this board. He has taken constant personal shots at most of us over the years and then plays the victim when he's, himself, ganged up on. I can only feel so much remorse for someone who has shown no remorse to anyone else on this message board time and time again. I know what it's like to hate the world and take it out on random people on the internet, I know what it's like to be a keyboard warrior, time and time again. Eventually, you learn to grow up and get a literal life, and leave that petty internet shit behind, which is what I hope for him, but I'm ok with him not being around these parts spewing his headier than thou opinion and then attacking everyone that doesn't agree with it. During the pandemic I mailed him a box of my old comic books. I guess it was one of thisw covid post office casualties because I can't imagine he would have received them and not mentioned it. I never mentioned it because it was a bummer and they are gone so it's kinda pointless, but I wish he had gotten them.

Whipping post was great. So was shakedown. Lots of great stuff. Thanks for the link! I was driving to TN and dosed earlier. Bounced between this and stu all night. Stu said see you next year which means he better toyr next year because I'm seeing him! These shows have been phenomenal! What a band! I enjoyed Warren’s set the most. I liked the solo acoustic mini sets throughout the night. I didn’t really know too much about Nathaniel Rattlife, but I enjoyed it, and thought he put on a pretty good show. I completely forgot how boring DMB is. I haven’t listened to them in forever, and now I remember why. They started off ok, and then just brought the energy way down. If you are going to bring out Trey, use him. I thought the Melissa with Trey, Warren and Derek was way too low key, and even Come Together with everyone wasn’t great. That being said, I’ll give him props for doing it and selling the most tickets for a good cause. |

I don’t know what to do with my mom. I invite her to do stuff and sometimes she joins but it usually takes convincing or she just says no.
My brother is having thanksgiving at his house with his in laws and didn’t invite me or my mom (his wife’s doing). Fuck her but whatever.
I told my mom that’s bullshit and said if she wanted to come over we can do it at our house. She said no she’s just going to stay home.
I mentioned it again over the weekend. Again she said no.
So we’re going to Rich’s uncles and I’m sure she’s upset and I’m upset
that she’s alone but I don’t know what else to do.
I know she’s upset about my dad and the holidays but she’s turning into a hermit and I don’t know what to do.

Sucks that your s-i-l didn't extend the invite to you all... I don't know about the relationship dynamic you guys have but that seems like a shitty thing to do...
I'm going to smoke two turkeys this year (assuming they both fit in the smoker).
Never tried smoking turkey before so it should be interesting...
Also, we may get a foot of snow on Thanksgiving...

Keep trying with her Tree, don't give up on her. You may not get her to Thanksgiving but start making Xmas plans now and try to pin her down. It's gotta be tough for her. It's just me and my parents this year. No turkey, just a few sides and I'm picking up some good shrimp.
