After my Mom died the core group I had done the holiday with kinda fractured and went their own ways and I’ve fallen through the cracks.

Dad’s snowbirdin’, my brother is with his wife’s family, various cousins have started their own families.

Now I take a more Alice’s Restaurant approach to the holiday.

I did order a vegan feast that I have not opened yet but the box is about two square feet and weighs at least 40 lbs.

I’m at my sister’s. I bring nothing and do nothing but eat. I don’t feel bad about it either. Every time I have offered to do or bring anything, they tell me not to. My dad does all the cooking and my other family brings deserts. I have also offered to help my dad prep/cook in the morning, but he won’t let anyone in the kitchen, so it’s on him. None of them drink or smoke paht, so I really have nothing else to offer.
