Just picked up a new smartphone after going about three years with a dumb one. Last one was an iPhone, this one's Android - new to me.
Give me suggestions for some killer apps. Interested in music/radio stuff mostly, but list anything interesting.

Looking for things interesting beyond practical, bank, flashlight, etc. Complete nOOb when it comes to Spotify, Soundcloud, etc, but this is more what I'm interested in. Have Pandora on my laptop but because I'm outside of US it doesn't work. If there's an app that will do dirty deeds, dirt cheap I'm interested. Never know when that might come in handy.

the ones i use most on my phone, in no particular order.
-facebook/messanger
-snap chat
-fantasy football apps
-trivia crack
-waze (traffic app)
-gmail
-sports related apps for notifications (recommend bleacher report 1000x better than espn)
other than that just put on some apps that you may find useful. i never have been an app-centric type person, i still view a smartphone as just a cell phone, and probably don't use half the functionality on mine.

My whole Microsoft App store won't work because I'm over here. Gotta dig up bootleg shit for my Windows10. Sucks. All my Android stuff works. Pandora works here.

If you are into the concept of 'voting with your dollars', then this app is essential. It'll give you a list of various causes that you can check off that matter to you, (GMO Labeling, Animal Testing, ECT), then when you scan an item's barcode at the grocery store it'll show the products corporate "family tree' and will alert you to whether or not the money you are spending on this product goes to people who are at odds with your ethical stance. www.buycott.com |
