Last week I read a stupid book called Wreckage. Almost like a romance novel sort of thing. Now I am reading When I'm Gone by the same author. I just feel like reading something mindless.

Currently reading A Weed by Any Other Name by Nancy Gift. A botanist from Cornell. A look at our lawns and how to love our unwanted plants. Beautiful book totally in line with my thinking. A chapter n hawkweed or Devil's Paintbrush. I mow around them too.. And Hemp Dogbane, what a name! ive been keeping track of the edible weeds that grow in my yard. purslane comes to mind. full of vitamins. i eat dandelion flowers when im out in the yard.

I am reading Desperation by Stephen King. Shit is about as spine tingly and spooky as it gets. Not sure why I didn't read this one a long time ago when I was in the big King phase of my life. I recommend! oh wow I didn't read this but in 99 I drove to Dallas and back and listened to an audiobook of Desperation and it was read by Kathy Bates. I was also eating white crosses and drinking coffee like a madman and got two very expensive speeding tickets on that ride. I felt like a Chuckie doll when I arrived back to Phoenix. Good book.

I've started Make Something Up: Stories You Can't Unread. it's mostly just short stories and a prequel to Fight Club so I'm excited to get to that. I think Chuck Palaniuk is an overrated author and that Fight Club was one of the only books I read that the movie was way better than the book.

I have been listening to audio books in the car while I drive my kid back and forth to school. After a long stretch of reading strictly nonfiction books, I decided to try to get through some of the Harry Potter books. I'm on book 3 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban right now. I read the first two Harry Potters and enjoyed them but never pursued the next one which I am told is the best of the series.

I've got Coyote Blue(?) and A Dirty Job by Moore waiting..
Recently read an awesome history book on ancient civilizations and their legacy on modern times. I think it was called Legacy. A good primer on ancient history.
Also Italo Calvino - Invisible Cities. A fictional surrealist conversation between Marco Polo and Kublai Khan about empire. It's alright

I've read both Coyote Blue and A Dirty Job. I think my favorite Christopher Moore book so far is Sacre Blue.

I started reading Lamb...it's really funny. I think I stopped reading it because I had it in my hunting pack and then forgot about it. I'm sure I'll get back to it.

I finally started Mycophilia. I like it, but I'm just like the author and the folks she writes about. I want to immerse myself in everything mycology related.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbo_Jumbo_(novel)Reading this one again. One of my all time favorites. Occult roots of Voodoo, the KKK and everything in between. Makes me think white people have no culture at all, pretty convincing argument Highly recommend

i suppose he could of taking the egg and injected with dye when i wasnt looking. i dont think so.

OK. So here's the thread I wanted. Reading a Feast for Crows ATM. Also started Tuck Everlasting with the kids last night. We only read a few chapters (they're short), but the kids and I really like it so far.
