just finished Robert langdon's the lost symbol. I liked it lots. perhaps more then the DaVinci code.. especially the back part of the book. sometime to much detail but i like how he weaves ancient societies, religion
he presented some new interpretations of bible quotes i hadn't reallly realized. like humans being created in the image of God.. but God is more awareness energy so its our minds that were created in his likeness, not our bodies.
I imagine our awareness is fractal in nature.

& this is 1 of the most fun books I've ever seen A Drag Queen's Bible, it's a very easy to use guide on how to drastically change a face w make up. This author was a very famous Hollywood & fashion World make up artist. He was an utter genius. He has 3 books. All equally brilliant. What a gifted artist. kevynaucoinbeauty.com/products/face-forward-by-kevyn-aucoin

i am about 150 or so (out of +500) pages into the beastie boys book. so far they've just met rick rubin and russell simmons and switched from hardcore to rap. pretty good read, with lots of photos and short chapters that switch between AdRock and Mike D as the writers (kind of like trading vs in a song).

Been rereading for a while now--lots of books I'd wanted to reread for a long time. gathered 'em up, built a stack, and now whittling them down.
Finished/reread Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko recently. Finished/reread Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf even more recently. Now reading To the Lighthouse by Woolf.

Ive read Ceremony before. Id have to re-read it as well though.
Does Mrs. Dalloway have anything to do with "The Hours?"

^Yes. The Hours was something of a response novel to Ms. Dalloway. 1 character is Virginia Woolf at the time of its writing, 1 is reading Ms. Dalloway and dealing with extreme depression/suicidal, the last has the same first name and is throwing a party like the protagonist in Mrs. Dalloway. I actually haven't read the novel, but I've seen the flic a couple of times. good stuff I thought.

Ive watched the movie a few times. My wife is really into it. She talks about all the symbolism in it.
Ceremony I remember the drunk Indian. Tao?
