I own a copy of Fierce Invalids to boot.
I checked out another Robbins book, Still Life With Woodpecker, but haven't started it.

I like it but the plot is definitely lacking. I'm almost done and I don't think anything crazy I'd going to happen, seems like its just going to end. I enjoy the rants and musings of the main character but sometimes they drag on forever.

I'm reading A Civil Action for my environmental law class, it's pretty interesting and written well but damn is it depressing. I think I might actually watch the movie of it over the weekend, Travolta is in it i'm pretty sure haha

I just picked up Blood In The Water and a Time To Die. Both books about the Attica Prison Riots.
I think I'm going to read a Time To Die first, it was written by a NYT reporter who was sent into the prison to cover it.

I finished Still Life with Woodpecker last night. It had the moon and the idea of how to make love stay as constant themes. Like there was a reason I didn't read it the first two times I had checked it out. Thank you Tom Robbins for reintroducing me to the dreamer inside myself.
Anyway, not my favorite, but a classic Robbins novel. Would recommend.

I've heard the sequel isn't very good which is disappointing. I enjoyed the first one.

I've heard the sequel isn't very good which is disappointing. I enjoyed the first one. i definitely enjoyed the first movie lots more.. second one really deviates from the book but was a solid enough action flick ill say it again.. Tom Cruise is a horrible horrible choice to portray Jack Reacher

Just finished A Circle of Wives. Not my typical read but one of my old professors wrote it and I'm trying to read all the books my professors have written. Was a fun read with a good twist at the end. Dr is found dead in hotel room. Young detective gets the case and finds out the dude has 3 wives. Who done it?
Just taught To Kill Mockingbird for the 1st time in 15 years. The kids liked it. As I get older scouts point of view keeps getting more and more interesting.
If you have not read Barry Gufford, it's a must.
