Apparently today was the 40th anniversary of it's official release. So, a local movie theater set up a big projector screen on their lawn and had a viewing party. I had never been to a showing before, but I knew it has it's own counterculture of weirdos. So, I went to go check it out in full w00k garb. It was fun. I can see how the higher percentage of people who know what they're doing, and how to participate at these gatherings, the higher the amount of potential fun there is to be had. Good stuff. Yep, and the more of THOSE people that attend, the more fun there is to be had.
The movie is really secondary to the crowd antics, which is why people like it so much.
Would do again, with proper props for participation.

It's the best! There used to be a theatre in my hometown that would show it once a month. They had a hot pink hearse parked out front. So much fun.

My friend used to always yell out "He's got a hiney on his chin!" whenever Charles Gray/The Criminologist was onscreen.  |

I used to go a lot when I was a kid. This movie theater used to do midnight showings every Saturday in the summer. Fun times.

I have been to a couple showings, we had a local theater that ran it as a midnight movie a few times a year. Love it!

seen it a bunch of times love it, have never seen it in a theatre, a theatre that is no longer in existance used to do it midnights every friday and wow was that always fun just drivin by the line
