Bill Murray does get a pass. I don't associate him with the rest of that crowd... because he has talent and is actually funny.

Who would be the worst when it comes to that post-SNL movie career?

To me, Will Ferrell without a doubt.

Not Dana Carvey?
Lawrence of Arabia did nothing for me.

It's a tough call. Do you judge Julia Sweeney baseed on 'It's Pat' or include other roles, small as they may be, like 'Pulp Fiction' which was a fine movie but not specifically because of her? Tim Meadows for 'The Ladies Man' or his supporting roles? There's just so much suck when it comes to ex-SNL members movies, it's a daunting task figuring out who sucks worse. Should probably divide movies that are based on or a continuation of SNL skits/characters and those where they're just ex-SNL players in a movie. The ones based on SNL skits tend to be worse, IMO.

I was answering the op and responding to the post before me. SNL vehicles are super hit and miss. Wayne's world and the blues brothers are the gems.
SNL actors/actresses are much better served working in other people's movies.

I understand the special spot for Star Wars in the hearts of middle aged America.

If it isn't funny for 5 minutes on the show, it probably doesn't deserve 2 hours in the theater.
Odd to think of Blues Brothers as an SNL but technically that's where it started.

I love classic movies but some that I don't like: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre - the grapes of wrath

Looking at your avatar, I'd say that's a compliment considering Yoda looks like an elder statesman. Younger Yoda kicking ass in the the Ep 1-3 (whatever one he had the light saber duel with the Sen./Emp.) was pretty bad ass, in a CGI kind of way.

I love classic movies but some that I don't like: The Treasure of the Sierra Madre Probably one of my favorite all time films. Seen it maybe 6 times. I read the book and liked it even more.

As far as classics go though...The Graduate. Dustin Hoffman's character is really unlikeable, and I didn't enjoy that movie at all.

I pretty much find all classic movies boring
IMO anything after the 1920's and before the 1970's was boring
