Now I want to see the whole film that way

Of the movies I've only ever seen 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 in full, parts of 1 and 2 here and there, and nothing of 9. In the expanded universe I've only seen Rogue One, and Solo (and the late 70's X-mas special which doesn't really count). So maybe this has been explained in one of the tv shows, an animated show, some SW Universe comic or novel, something I'm just not aware of, but was it ever explained why the Imperial Empire collapsed after the the events of Return of The Jedi?

It didn't collapse after the Rebels destroyed the first Death Star so you'd think the destruction of the second one in a tiny part of the galaxy the Empire controlled with an iron fist wouldn't cause the entire Empire to collapse. Lose a battle, sure, but the whole war? But they did and the Rebels apparently managed things so well that not long after the First Order was able to take over (assuming the amount Han and Leia aged is the same amount of time that passed for the power shifts) and build a massive military.

I figure I'm either missing something or I'm trying to apply logic when instead I should just STFU and enjoy - perhaps both.

We are checking out a buddy's band later and I asked if they were going to do a cantina jam. He said yes but not sure if he's serious.
