i used to play the local Los Feliz municipal when I was living in Los Angeles. 9 holes. could play a round and rent a 9 iron and a putter for $7. i'd lose about $12 in golf balls every time though.

For sure dude. Golf is a great time, whether you're wookin with beer and weed on the course or just playing straight up.
Usually shoot mid 80s to mid 90s depending on the day, course, etc.
When I had a membership for a summer, I got my game real dialed in. I would shoot consistently in the high 70s to low 80s. Now not so much...not enough time to get out there.

Its one of those games that requires a ton of patience and practice to be consistently good.
90% mental, 10% physical

I take the disc golf route. Considerably less expensive, and in my opinion more fun. I like to hit up the local chip n putt courses every now and then though

I quit about 7 years ago. I played about twice a week for awhile. When my friends started joining clubs is when I started phasing it out. I had no interest in dropping $120 for a round of golf and they had no interest in playing the county municipal course for $45. The expense justified me quitting and I don't particularly miss it other than spending 4 hours out in the sunshine relaxing. I was never that good either, probably averaged about 100 a round.

I worked at one of the top public courses in the country through most of high school. I played a couple times although I was pretty terrible. I think it's a pretty impressive skill but I also think it's a completely disgusting use of resources for a bunch of mostly rich white people to hit a little ball around in a place that could be a park or something.

My husband plays golf a lot, but it doesn't interest me one bit. Disc golf looks like it might be fun though.

Used to play a lot. Got down to an 8 handicap in my prime.
Don't play much anymore though.
Playing spaced as hell is fun.

Its not as expensive as it was when Tiger was playing. You can find great deals online. I play by myself, (wife drives cart) played 18 for 18 bucks the other day on a great course. Usually its 30$ for 18. Twlight golf is 30 all you can play at a wonderful course here. Only time i would pay more then a 100$ would be if i played up north. Nothing better then sinking a putt. god i love that sound.
